If Shell unequivocally did the right thing in cleaning up the Texaco pollution problem, there would be little to no reason for this site to exist. The mass sell off of all the Shell stations is a policy and legal issue that is ancillary to the Texaco problem. However, by actively and maliciously avoiding addressing the Texaco problem, the mass Shell off of Shell stations and the way it can impact the environment will take on a life of its own. With Shell failing to adequately address the Texaco issue, SeeitReal.com will continue to grow and becomes stronger - as it needs to to address the public's concern of environmental neglect and abuse and the immediate need to clean up pollution 957 feet from a clean water aquifer. Any public official that colludes, vacillates or fails to act according to the public good mandated by the public payments they receive to act in the greater public interest, yet refuses to do so, should be fired or forced to resign. SeeitReal.com, by bringing attention to their inappropriate action or inaction, trusts it will have that effect. The hope is to at least induce them to fulfill their responsibilities to the public. Open Message to Shell If you want this website to cease, do what is required of you to obviate the necessity of this site. Clean up the Texaco problem and somehow find a way to convince this author and the public that those intentions are not only real but likely to continue, in some effective amount of time. We already know, by the failed test, that cleaning up the Texaco problem will not "thrive" in Shell's corporate culture. So far, the "malicious avoidance" this issue has received by Shell doing a failed GPR test and Shell's overall refusal to adequately address this matter, do little to convey any good faith reliance the author or the public can depend upon. There needs to be a commitment in time. Some certainty that the issue will be addressed. Some contract, social or otherwise, that commits Shell to a reasonable course of effective action involving people dedicated to the effective resolution of the problem. If you can come up with that solution, the effective life of this website can end. |
